Grá Bia – The Story so far…

Some delicious chutneys with a lovely and unique combination of flavours, handmade in Northern Ireland.

I am a native of Brittany and I have brought my knowledge and passion for cooking to Northern Ireland with a new range of chutneys, handcrafted in Bryansford, County Down.

The name ‘Grá Bia’ comes from my passion for food and cooking with a 'Celtic' twist. ‘Grá’ means ‘Love’, ‘Bia’ means ‘Food’. Producing delicious chutneys is all about sharing Love & Passion for Fine Foods!

I love making chutneys, combining fresh fruits, vegetables and a blend of spices to create wonderful flavours. Chutneys are so versatile and can be served with just about anything, from curries, charcuterie & cheese boards to BBQs.

Grá Bia Chutneys come in five different flavours to enjoy: Beetroot and Mint; Mango and Green Chilli; Pineapple, Cranberry and Black Pepper; Rhubarb, Date and Ginger; and Tomato and Black Onion Seed. All already are proving to be very popular!

I am very keen to work closely with local businesses and suppliers from Northern Ireland. Most of the fruits and vegetables come from our local shop, Hales Fruit Sales in Newcastle, while the Apple Cider Vinegar, used in all our recipes, comes direct from Long Meadow Farm in County Armagh.

The chutneys are on sale at a number of outlets across Northern Ireland and you can find your nearest stockist on our dedicated page.

It has become increasingly important to support small businesses in these unprecedented times.
